On Sunday’s broadcast of TNT’s “NBA Tip Off,” analyst Charles Barkley said that he will not be making an apology for remarks he had made a week earlier about San Antonio women and their weight.
“There’s some big ‘ol women down there,” Barkley had said. “That’s a gold mine for Weight Watchers.”
Barkley told viewers Sunday that if they didn’t him or the show to “turn it off” and then said an apology would not be forthcoming.
“They want me to apologize. That’s not going to happen. That’s not gonna happen. You all can write letters to your momma, your daddy, your uncle. I’m going to have fun on television. You know that I’m joking around. But if y’all waiting on me to apologize, hell gonna freeze over.”
