Yale Law Prof: 'Us Liberals' Should Want Corporate Rights

Self-identified liberal Yale law professor Akhil Amar argued liberals should want corporations to have some rights because many corporations lean left and should be able to exercise their rights.  Amar stated “us liberals should want some corporations to at least have some rights.”  

He pointed out that many vanguards of liberalism are corporations, saying “the New York Times is a corporation, Random House is a corporation…30 Rock, it’s owned by a corporation, and you don’t want the government to just take the place over.”
