Grijalva Calls on Obama to Visit Border

Monday on MSNBC’s “Now with Alex Wagner,” Rep. Raul Grijalva (D-AZ) surprised the host when he said he believed “the borderlands deserve a presidential visit.”

Wagner opened the segment by playing clips of reporters grilling White House press secretary Josh Earnest on why President Barack Obama is refusing to visit the border. She then asked Grijalva about “the controversay of the day.”

Later, Wagner told her next guest, Buzzfeed’s John Stanton, she was shocked at how critical Grijalva was on the president’s immigration policy and how quickly the politics of the crisis are turning out to not be good for the president.
