Tuesday on MSNBC’s “Hardball,” NBC’s White House corespondent Chuck Todd hammered the Obama administration for their stubborn refusal to have the president go down and witness the humanitarian crisis unfolding on the U.S.-Mexico border.
Todd told host Chis Matthews, “They are very much in denial about this at all. If fact they push back and say we sent Joe Biden to Guatemala, we sent Jeh Johnson to the border, the FEMA director” he continued “They totally deny this allegation coming from some of us in the media that they don’t look like they are on top of the situation. They argue they are on top of the situation, the president being there isn’t a big deal..” Todd added “As you and I know, sometimes politics is about pictures. Pictures matter, George Bush found out the hard way.”
