Wednesday on the Fox News Channel, former Rep. Allen West (R-FL) discussed President Barack Obama’s refusal to secure the U.S.-Mexico borders by saying the president’s priority is being popular by throwing down a beer and getting offered a doobie over fulfilling his constitutional duties.
West reacted to last night’s photo-op at a stop in Denver when Obama was asked by a man in the bar, “Do you want a hit of this?” where the recreational use of marijuana has been legal in Colorado for six months.
“It just shows where his priorities are,” West said. “His priorities are not securing the sovereignty of the United States of America. His priorities are about his own ideological agenda and going out there and being popular as we just saw him hooting it up in some bar in Colorado.”
“We have a president that would rather throw down beers and get offered a hit from a doobie and go to fundraisers,” he added.
