A Florida middle school teacher has been suspended over a video allegedly showing her engaging in lewd behavior with students… but only for 15 days!
Courtney Spruill—a soccer coach and phys ed. teacher for Kernan Middle School in the Duval County School District—was suspended without pay on July 1st after an investigation into an end-of-season party last year, according to Action News Jacksonville.
Spruill drank alcohol at a party held at the home of a parent, then twerked on several girls from the soccer team, according to allegations from a student present at the party. A cell phone video purportedly shows Spruill receiving a lap dance from a student, and she allegedly instructed the children in the provocative dance style of twerking.
Action News Jacksonville’s video report states that Spruill is accused of driving a student home after drinking alcohol. The mother who hosted the party claims the coach brought vodka as a gift but drank soda, not alcohol.
