Obama: GOP Left 'Unfinished Business'

Saturday during his weekly address, President Barack Obama criticized House Republicans for finding the time to vote to sue him but then leaving for a five-week recess with “unfinished business.”

The president said, “House Republicans actually got together this week and voted to sue me for taking actions on my own, and then they left town for the month without settling a bunch of unfinished business that matters to working families across America.”

He listed that unfinished business as raising the federal minimum wage, spending more on infrastructure and working on pay equity for women.

Late Friday night, after a delayed August recess, the House voted to approve a $694 million emergency package to address the humanitarian crisis of ten of thousands of unaccompanied minors flooding across the U.S.-Mexico border.
