CNN: 'Controversial' Wasserman Comments Not Going Away

CNN’s “The Lead” anchor Jake Tapper and chief congressional correspondent Dana Bash discussed Democratic National Committee chairwoman Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz’s (D-FL) remarks, in which she said, “Scott Walker has given women the back of his hand. I know that is stark. I know that is direct. But that is reality … What Republican Tea Party extremists like Scott Walker are doing is they are grabbing us by the hair and pulling us back. It is not going to happen on our watch” on Wednesday.

Tapper remarked that the “controversial” statement of “comparing politics to domestic abuse or sexual assault” was “blowing up.”

Bash added that the DNC’s statement clarifying Wasserman-Schultz’s comments were “not going to be the end of this.”
