CNN: Subway Threat Comes from ISIS Fighter Interrogated After Battlefield Capture

Thursday on “The Lead With Jake Tapper,” Paul Cruickshank, CNN’s terrorism analyst, reported that the Iraqi prime minister’s warning of immanent attacks from ISIS lone wolfs on New York’s subway system comes from, “Iraqi interrogations of ISIS fighters captured on the battlefield in Iraq.”

He added, “There is concern that ISIS could, in the future, prioritize launching attacks on western targets. They have up to 1,000 westerners in their ranks, tens and millions of cash reserves. They have training facilities as well. They have all of this capability in Syria. there’s a window of vulnerability because the United States has only just started as strikes in Syria. The concern is that they could actually launch attacks in the future. in three to six months we could see plots from this.”
