On Thursday’s “The Late Show” on CBS, prior to the end of a segment David Letterman hosted with Robert Duvall, who was promoting his new movie “The Judge,” Duvall expressed his disapproval of Letterman’s forthcoming replacement, Comedy Central host Stephen Colbert.
The star of “Apocalypse Now” and “The Godfather” films said, “Why are you retiring? That guy taking over’s not that funny. That guy’s not that funny. Sorry, maybe your friend.”
