WaPo's Ruth Marcus: 'Way More Likely Than Not' Jeb Runs

Washington Post columnist Ruth Marcus argued that it is “way more likely than not” that Jeb Bush will run for president in 2016 on Monday’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports” on MSNBC.

Marcus, in a discussion on Jeb’s son, George P. Bush’s interview where he said that it was more than likely that his father will run, she said, “the fact of showing so much openness to the notion of his father running and the likelihood of his father running. That seems pretty definitive to me that it is way more likely than not [that Jeb runs in 2016].”

Marcus added “very healthy development for the Republican Party and for the country to have somebody like Jeb Bush conclude that he can not only run, but potentially win the Republican nomination despite this apostasy on immigration and Common Core.”

Chris Cillizza Editor of The Post’s The Fix, wasn’t as certain, saying the interview was “hard to read.” And that “Jeb Bush has probably been somewhere between 40 and 60% one way or the other for the last couple of years.”
