Shep Smith Asks US Marshals: Don't You Wish Frein Had Resisted?

The Fox News Channel’s Shep Smith asked two US Marshals who arrested fugitive Eric Frein whether they wished Frein had resisted on Friday.

During the interview with Marshals Scott Kimball and Scott Malkowski, Smith asked “were you surprised he [Frein] wasn’t armed and didn’t resist?”  After a pause (which may have been due to a delay in the audio feed on the officers’ end) Smith added, “don’t you kind of wish he had?” And “it’s okay to be honest here.”

The two officers laughed and responded “no comment on that one,” and “that’s a good question.”  Kimball added that he was surprised Frein was unarmed when he was arrested.
