Robert Gibbs: Race is The Predominant Factor In Southern States

Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” echoing Sen. Mary Landrieu’s (D-LA) comments attributed President Barack Obama’s unpopularity in Louisiana to racist southerners, President Barack Obama’s former campaign adviser and White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said, “Race is still the predominant factor in Southern races.”

Gibbs said, “Welll look you cant walk away from the history of the south its obvious race is stilll the predominant factor in Southern races.”
