Boehner: We Will Fight Obama's Executive Amnesty 'Tooth And Nail'

Thursday at the Republican leadership press conference Speaker of the House John Boehner (R0OH) said the republicans will fight “tooth and nail,” to stop President Obama from taking executive action to give amnesty to upwards of five million illegal immigrants  living in the United States.

Boehner said, “The president is threatening to take action on immigration, even though in the past he has made clear he didn’t believe he had the constitutional responsibility or authority to do that. And I just say this. We’re going fight the president tooth and nail if he continues down this path. This is the wrong way to govern. This is exactly what the American people said on election day they didn’t want. And so all the options are on the table. We’re having discussions with our members members and no decisions have been made how we will fight this if he proceeds.”

“Our goal here is to stop the president from violating his own oath of office and violating the constitution. It’s not to shut down the government.” then he added a cryptic clue to possible GOP counter tactics saying, “Well, you know, every administration needs this and needs that and needs all kinds of things, and if he wants to go off on his own, there are things he is just not going to get.”
