King: Congressional Black Caucus Doing ‘Hands Up’ Gesture Encourages Violence

Wednesday on Newsmax TV’s “America’s Forum,”  Rep. Peter King (R-NY) said the Congressional Black Caucus doing the “Hands Up, Don’t Shot,” gesture on the House floor Monday night is “the type of action that encourages violence.”

King said, “You can almost see why people are being driven to violence when for four months if their leaders tell them that African Americans are being shot dead in the streets for no reason, they are being shot dead when they surrender. It’s not true but it builds up an attitude  that can lead to the type of situation we see in Ferguson.”
