Obama Hijacks ‘The Colbert Report’ for 6-Minute ObamaCare Promo

In an appearance on Comedy Central’s “The Colbert Report” on Monday, President Barack Obama appeared as outgoing host Stephen Colbert’s guest from a live set in Washington, D.C.

Obama used the segment sometimes reserved for Colbert’s “The Word” monologue, deemed “The Decree” for this occasion, to promote his 2010 signature health care reform legislation and warned Republicans a veto could be in order if they use their new majority to attempt a repeal.

“They could pass a bill repealing Obamacare, but the president still has the veto and if I know that guy, he is willing to use it,” Obama said. “And let’s face it, even if Republicans somehow did repeal it, they would have to replace it with their own health care plan. Once they touch it, they own it, and then if anything goes wrong, suddenly everybody will be complaining about Mitch McConnell-care.”
