Chris Rock: White People Only Laugh from the Neck Up

Earlier this week on “Charlie Rose” on PBS, comedian Chris Rock discussed preferring all African-American audiences at his HBO concert specials. He explained it frees him to poke fun at black culture and said black audiences laugh better than white audiences. 

“Guess what black people laugh better then white people,” Rock said. “They are just better laughers. Black people laugh with their feet … white people just kinda laugh from the neck up.”
