Clarke Criticizes Pro-Criminal ‘One-Way Street’ in Justice System

Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke argued that the release of a man without bail who had threatened New York City Police Officers was an example of the “one-way street” in favor of criminals on Saturday’s “Justice with Judge Jeanine” on the Fox News Channel.

“This is why we have the repeat criminal behavior…because these individuals are sent a message by this judge. I heard [Mayor] de Blasio (D) say she’s well-respected. And I thought ‘by who?’ When these individuals come out and they get slapped on the wrist for this felonious conduct, you know what it does? It sends the message that the criminal justice system is not going to be adequately punish them, so they go out and repeat the same crime” he said.

Clarke later added “it’s always the best interest of the criminal and it’s never the best interest of the community [that is considered]. I think it’s been a one-way street for a long time and we can see [with] the crime that goes on.”
