CNN Senior International Correspondent Nick Walsh discovered bodies left in Sergey Prokofiev International Airport in Donetsk, Ukraine in footage broadcast on Monday’s “OutFront.”
Walsh said that “mortars often fall” in the airport, which is currently held Russian-backed separatists, but is regularly shelled by Ukraine’s military. According to Walsh, the separatists at the airport claimed that bodies located by the camera crew were “left in the Ukrainian retreat.”
He added, “the war here, is entering a new phase, with the heaviest of weapons, and the random shelling of civilians.”
