Wednesday at the daily press briefing, White House press secretary John Earnest told CNN’s Jim Acosta the wording in the resolution asking Congress for the authorization for use of military force against ISIS is “intentionally” fuzzy.
Earnest said, “We believe it’s important that there are not over-burdensome constraints that are placed on the commander-in-chief, who needs the flexibility to be able to respond to contingencies that emerge in a chaotic military conflict like this.”
