MSNBC host Thomas Roberts argued that an SNL sketch involving ISIS was “just like” Charlie Hebdo on Monday’s “MSNBC Live.”
Roberts commented “that’s from Taran Killam, who’s super funny, and I think a lot of people were surprised that maybe this feels too soon. But I think if we think of Charlie Hebdo and everybody holding up a pen. This is just like that.” in response to a tweet from Taran Killam, who plays the father whose daughter joins ISIS in the sketch saying “freedom to mock is our greatest weapon”
Proud of this. Freedom to mock is our greatest weapon. Thanks to the writers who asked not to be mentioned by name. https://t.co/FjdX9xGewX
