MSNBC Panel: Clinton Server Scrub Shows ‘Consciousness Of Guilt’

Monday on MSNBC’s “NOW w/Alex Wagner,”  attorney Seema Iyer and The New York Times’ Nicholas Confessore agreed that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton scrubbing her email server while knowing there are ongoing congressional investigations is a problem that won’t go away.

Iyer said, “We call this consciousness of guilt.  So she was notified by the request of the State Department and it gets rubbed clean and now you can’t even look for it. It is consciousness of guilt. That’s how you get it into evidence. This is problematic.”

Confessore agreed saying, “Even the most ardent supporter of Hillary Clinton has to be like, you did what, wait. What message does that send, even if it is innocent? We’ll never know.”

Host Alex Wagner even admitted, “Maybe you shouldn’t scrub the server.”
