In last week’s episode of “Last Week Tonight with John Oliver” on HBO, host John Oliver pled with the sponsors of FIFA to pressure FIFA to the point of forcing out its president Sepp Blatter. Oliver promised that if these companies could get Blatter out of his presidency, he would wear an Adidas shoe, take a bite out of everything on the McDonald’s dollar menu and that he would drink one of Budweiser’s “disgusting” drinks.
On Sunday’s episode, Oliver made good of his word because Sepp Blatter announced the Tuesday after Oliver’s show that he was stepping down. He put on the shoes, took a bite from the McDonald’s dollar menu and then chugged a Bud Light Lime.
“I didn’t think this would happen,” he said.
