Clinton Jokes About Paid Speeches: ‘Dear Lord That’s All I Need Is One More Story’

Tuesday at the Clinton Global Initiative Conference in Denver, CO, former President Bill Clinton hinted at his feelings over the multiple controversies involving potential quid pro quos centering around his high-paid speeches during his wife Hillary Clinton’s tenure as secretary of state.

Vilsack said, “With the exception of the state of Colorado and a few other states that have legalized another product, there are not very many commodities that you can plant, Mr. President, and then grow up to get a million bucks.”

Clinton responded, “Dear Lord, that’s all I need is one more story about..  If only the marijuana growers would invite me to give a speech. I could make…”
