Watch: Twins OF Torii Hunter Loses it After Ejection for Arguing with Umpire

Minnesota Twins outfielder Torii Hunter was ejected from the game Wednesday night against the Kansas City Royals after arguing balls and strikes with home-plate umpire Mark Ripperger. Hunter, already visibly unhappy with the second strike call on him, was then subject to a questionable strike three.

Hunter began a shouting match with Ripperger, ripping off his equipment and then his jersey before finally being escorted out. Manager Paul Molitor was also tossed from the game. The Royals ended up winning the game 7-2.

“I thought it was a ball. The pitch before that I thought it was a little up and he called it a strike,” Hunter told reporters after the game. “That’s fine, but I thought the last pitch he called a strike was revenge because I said something the pitch before.”
