Tapper on Hillary Campaign’s Trade Deal Dodge: ‘Isn’t This What People Hate About Politicians?’

Friday on CNN’s “The Lead with Jake Tapper,” Hillary for America’s strategic communications adviser Karen Finney refused to answer what former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s position on the trade deal is.

Finney repeatedly said Mrs. Clinton would not comment until the language is finalized, causing a frustrated Jake Tapper to say, “Isn’t this exactly what people hate about politicians? That they won’t take a position because as soon as they take a position, they are so fearful of what the response is going to be from voters?”

When Finney wanted to pivot to talking about the economy, Tapper insisted, “this is about the economy and jobs,” and accused  Finney of trying a “switcheroo.”
