SC NAACP Chief: ‘Troubled,’ ‘Disappointed’ By Obama’s Use of ‘N-Word’

Monday on CNN’s “Newsroom with Carol Costello,” South Carolina Chapter of NAACP president Dr. Lonnie Randoph reacted to the news that President Barack Obama used the s0-called “N-word” on a podcast, and said he was “troubled by hearing that.”

Randoph  said, “I was a little troubled by hearing that. I think there was a better way to express the point. Had George Washington said it as the first president, I would have been annoyed by it. Hearing it from the 44th president of the United States I’m also bothered by it. I think I know what he was trying to say, but I think there’s a better way to even say bad things. I’m disappointed in what I  heard.”
