Brett Favre: ‘I Think I Could Play’ in the NFL

Former all-pro NFL quarterback Brett Favre spoke in an interview with Sports Illustrated saying that he thinks he could still play in the NFL. Favre, now 45, wanted to make sure people think he was coming out of retirement, but he does still believe he could be a capable player.

“I think I could play. As far as throwing, of course, we’re not trying to start some ‘he’s-coming-out-of-retirement’ deal, but I could play. I could make all the throws I made before, I just couldn’t throw it near as far.”

Could teams in need of a quarterback be knocking on his door soon to persuade him otherwise?
