Carson on CNN Attacks: ‘They Don’t Want People to Take Me Seriously’

Monday on Newsmax TV’s “The Steve Malzberg Show,” Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson said reporters like CNN’s Jim Acosta and Brianna Keilar grill him because they are “very afraid” of his message and, “They don’t want people to take me seriously.”

When asked about his Sunday “State of the Union” appearance that included host Acosta badgering Carson on his proposal to use military drones on the border to eliminate caves used by the drug cartels and CNN’s Brianna Keilar grilling him on same sex marriage, Carson said they go after him “because they don’t want people to take me seriously and they’re very afraid of my message getting out there, because it flies directly in the face of the secular progressive movement.”

He continued, “I am a huge threat to them. Therefore, if they can find the chink in the armor and they can concentrate on that, they can get you off the things that are so important to our nation.”

When asked if he referring only to the CNN host or about the liberal media in general Carson said,  “The liberal media in general, but certainly the people you just mentioned are problematic. But you know what? I don’t care.”
