Graham: House Freedom Caucus Will Walk GOP Off a ‘Cliff’

Friday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Republican presidential candidate Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) warned that the conservative House Freedom Caucus actions could have dire implications for the Republican Party.

Graham said he thought that Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) or Rep. Tom Cole (R-OK) would be a good speaker and tied the House GOP’s decision to the 2016 contest.

“Here’s the question, what are they going to do different than Boehner? What is the problem with Boehner? And how did they fix it?  At the end of the day the House Freedom Caucus was frustrated but they have charted a very narrow path for the Republican Party that I don’t think will lead us to the promised land, it will walk us off a cliff. The next Speaker, I hope it will be Paul Ryan, can reset the House to get things done for 2015 so that we don’t lose in 2016.”
