Trump on Sanctioning Russia Over MH17: ‘We Just Can’t Fight With Everybody’ Have To Take Care of Own Problems

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump answered a question on whether he would sanction Russia in light of a Dutch report that Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 was shot down by a Russian-made missile by stating, “We just can’t fight with everybody” and “I think we have to straighten our own problems out right now” broadcast on Wednesday’s “MSNBC Live.”

Trump said that it wasn’t certain who was behind the MH17 downing, and that there are conflicting accounts, adding, “you’ll probably never know for sure. It was probably Russia. It was probably people involved with — on the pro-Russia side. But I think we have to straighten our own problems out right now, Katy. We have some very big problems and can get involved in all of these, it’s a horrible thing, all those people dying, it was just disgusting.”

He also stated, “it’s been a long way. It’s a long ways away. We have to get back to making America great again. we have to get back to rebuilding our country, our infrastructure, our schools, our roads, our airports. We have to do something. We just can’t fight with everybody.”
