Police Disband Sit-In at Baltimore City Hall, At Least 16 Arrested

Baltimore, MD police diffused an overnight occupation of its city hall by activists who say they want a voice in the process of selecting a new permanent police commissioner, with at least 16 people being led away to police vehicles early Thursday.

Many of those involved in the protest were student activists, some as young as 16- and 17-years-old.

“It is our duty to fight for our freedom! We have nothing to lose but our chains!” shouted some of those watching the police operation.
