Student’s Attack on 62-Year-Old Teacher Over Cell Phone Drawing Attention Months Later

In light of the Spring Valley High incident between the school officer and a student over a cell phone, video of an attack on a New Jersey teacher is drawing attention many months after it happened.

The 62-year-old teacher confiscated the cell phone of a ninth grade student, who is seen in the video grabbing the teacher, pushing him into a desk, pulling him and then throwing him onto the floor.

The student was suspended and charged for assault for his actions, but people are wondering why the attack on the teacher did not get as much attention and the violent arrest of a South Carolina student.

The Spring Valley incident was between a black student and a white officer over a cell phone, while the New Jersey incident was between a black student and a white teacher, also over a cell phone.
