Kasich: Deporting 11 Million and Having Mexico Pay for a Wall a ‘Goofy Fantasy’

Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Republican presidential candidate Gov. John Kasich (R-OH) said while he doesn’t want to attack candidates, he will attack his rival Donald Trump’s “goofy” plan to deport 11 million people because he argues those proposals “hurt the Republican Party.”

Kasich said, “I will criticize programs, and plans that I think are goofy. Which I did in the last debate. You know, things like shipping 10 million or 11 million people out of this country, or some fantasy that we’re going to get the Mexican government to pay for the wall, or abolishing medicare or medicaid or making a voluntary program. I mean, I don’t want to attack people. But I am going to attack programs that I think hurt the Republican Party, hurt the conservative movement, and don’t put us in a position where we could actually win an election and turn America around.”
