Carson: Trump Needs Help Understanding the Word ‘Pathological’

Friday at a press conference in Greenville, SC, Republican presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson took questions about his rival Donald Trump’s attacks.

Carson said, “I’m hopeful that maybe his advisers will help him to understand the word pathological and recognize that that does not denote incurable. It’s not the same. It simply is an adjective that describes something that is highly abnormal and something that I have been fortunate to be delivered from for half a century now.”

A reporter asked, “In calling you a child molester, do you believe he owes you an apology?”

Carson replied, “I don’t believe he called me a child molester.”

The reporter pressed saying, “He compared your pathology to child molestation.”

Carson countered, “I always find it a little amusing what people in the press like to say ‘you compare this and therefore you said this.’ I don’t buy all that stuff. So those are questions which you can ask Donald Trump.”
