Pete Rose: ‘I Should Actually Be the Commissioner of Baseball’

All-time hits leader Pete Rose held a press conference at his Las Vegas, NV restaurant to respond to Major League Baseball commissioner Rob Manfred denying his reinstatement to the league.

In front of a large crowd, “Charlie Hustle” said he was “disappointed” that Manfred did not lift his lifetime ban, and then turned the tables by saying he himself should be the MLB commissioner because of the way he sells the game and the way he talks about it.

“To be honest with you, I should actually be the commissioner of baseball the way I talk about the game of baseball.”
