Jeb: Trump Said Islamic State Isn’t a Threat

Republican presidential candidate and former Florida Governor Jeb Bush said fellow GOP candidate Donald Trump argued  that ISIS isn’t a threat on Tuesday’s “On the Record with Greta Van Susteren” on the Fox News Channel.

While discussing ISIS, Jeb stated, [relevant remarks begin around 2:10] “This is a place where Donald Trump has missed it, he just doesn’t understand how the world works. Embracing Putin is the exact wrong thing to do. Saying ISIS isn’t a threat to our country is just incorrect. We need to make sure that we’re committed to this fight in concert with the European countries and with the Arab world. And we can do this. We have the capability of destroying ISIS, and creating a more secure situation going forward.”

Jeb added, “I’m just repeating what he said. He said ISIS, two months ago, wasn’t a threat. It is a threat, and he was wrong then, he’s wrong now. He said that he gets his foreign policy and military advice from the shows. Really? A president of the United States would just show up on Sunday mornings, and watch what’s going on rather than seek the best advice that exists? He is unhinged in the sense that he’s not a serious candidate. His proposals aren’t serious, and they would lead to a bad outcome for our country.”
