Former Carson Campaign Manager: ‘Harder and Harder to See How Donald Trump Isn’t Our Nominee’

Wednesday in an interview with CNN, Barry Bennett, who was Republican presidential hopeful Ben Carson’s campaign manager up until being fired last week, made a stunning claim when he said he foresees Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump winning the GOP presidential nomination.

“All you’ve got to do is compare the size of everyone’s rallies. And that’s really a demonstration of grass-roots support,” Bennett said. “Donald Trump is having 10,000, 12,000 people show up at rallies. A lot of these guys are having five or six people show up at their events in Iowa. There’s just not a comparison. You know, the establishment can fret about it all they want, but this is the new reality.”

“By mid-March, this thing could be well over,” he added. “At this point, it’s getting harder and harder to see how Donald Trump isn’t our nominee.”
