The Hill’s Stoddard: Dems ‘Very Nervous’ About Seriousness of Hillary Email Revelations, No Longer Can Blame Overclassification

A.B. Stoddard, an Associate Editor of The Hill reported that Democrats she spoke to are “very nervous” about how “serious” Democratic presidential candidate former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s email scandal has become,  and that “At some point, it’s going to start looking like the executive branch is covering up for her” on Friday’s “Special Report” on the Fox News Channel.

Stoddard said, “I spoke with Democrats in Washington this week who are getting very nervous about where this is going, and how serious it’s become, and that there’s no longer a way to sort of say this is — as Brian Fallon, the Clinton campaign spokesman said today, ‘is overclassification run amok.’ And today, they’re pretty frantic about the fact that a cabinet secretary, like Secretary Vilsack would come out and say that the timing of this is ‘suspect’ and call, I mean, call into question the work of intelligence sources in our government, that their involvement of political intervention in any way to hurt her campaign is preposterous. And it’s now becoming a really big political problem, not for her, but for President Obama. At some point, it’s going to start looking like the executive branch is covering up for her.”
