Edmonton Oilers defenseman Darnell Nurse left San Jose Sharks defenseman Roman Polak in a bloody mess after a “fight” between the two Tuesday night in their game.
Nurse took exception to a hit by Polak on one of his Oilers teammates and he sought out Polak to let him know.
Polak, who never got a chance to take his gloves off, was pummeled right in front of his team’s bench. By the time it was over, he was left bloodied and needing to see a different nurse.
Both players were penalized for fighting.
