GOP presidential candidate and Ohio Governor John Kasich held a press conference Tuesday in his home state after voting, and he reached out to Charles Barkley, also known as the “Round Mound of Rebound,” for an endorsement.
A reporter asked Kasich if former Cincinnati Reds star Pete Rose talked about endorsing him after it was reported that the all time hits leader for Major League Baseball did not actually endorse Donald Trump.
Kasich responded that he had not heard from Rose, but he had heard from the likes of Arnold Schwarzenegger and former Ohio State coaches Earle Bruce and Jim Tressel, as well as current OSU head coach Urban Meyer.
He then added a name he would like to get an endorsement from.
“When I win here today, maybe I can get Barkley to finally come over. I would like to travel with the Round Mound of Rebound,” he said.
