Krauthammer: ‘No Question’ Garland Would Be On ‘Liberal Side’ Of ‘Crucial Issues’ That Were 5-4

Columnist Charles Krauthammer argued that there’s “no question” Supreme Court nominee Judge Merrick Garland would be “on the liberal side” of all the “crucial issues” decided by “the Scalia majority” on Thursday’s “Special Report” on the Fox News Channel.

Krauthammer said, “[T]he fact is Republicans are not going to cave on this. And they’re absolutely right to stonewall. It is the Biden rule.” He further stated, “This is a festival of hypocrisy. The whole idea is to end up with the guy you want.”

Krauthammer later added, “[T]here is no question that on all the crucial issues, that have been decided by the Scalia majority, 5 to 4, he would be on the liberal side, and the conservatives would lose.”
