Bill Maher Slams Nationals OF Bryce Harper: ‘A D**chebag,’ ‘a D*ck’

HBO host and New York Mets minority owner Bill Maher had some choice words for Mets division rival and Washington Nationals star outfielder Bryce Harper while a guest on AM 710 in New York radio show “The WOR Sports Zone” with Pete McCarthy.

Harper, who won the National League Most Valuable Player award in 2015 at the age of 22, has recently been in the news for wanting to “Make Baseball Fun Again,” which has not helped him garner any love from Maher because it is a play on GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump’s slogan.

“There’s a couple of words that I really can’t say on public radio that I think apply to him, but next to them I see a picture of Bryce Harper, I really do. I just don’t like that guy at all. It’s not surprising to me that he’s flirting with Donald Trump’s candidacy,” Maher said. “He’s a douchebag. He looks like a douchebag. I just don’t like him.”

Maher did, however, reserve the right to love the former number one overall draft pick who has blown a kiss at a pitcher after hitting a homerun, fought a teammate in the dugout after being told to hustle and pitched a fit when he got drilled in the knee.

“Of course, if he was a Met, I’d love him. I could learn to love Bryce Harper,” he added. “When you’re that good, when you’re that young, you’re gonna be a d-ck.”
