Monday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Sen. Tammy Baldwin (D-WI), a super delegate that has endorsed Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton, said her super delegate vote would fall in line with the popular vote for the Democratic nomination, be it Clinton or her opponent Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT).
“I am a human being and a super delegate,” Baldwin said. “So, I endorsed Hillary Clinton very early on in this race, but I expect this to play out in much the same way the convention did in 2008 with the Obama and Clinton primary. I believe that the final word is the super delegates are going to go with the U.S. popular vote as well as the pledged delegate vote and you see Hillary Clinton maintaining a very strong lead in both. Now depending on what happens here in New York tomorrow, you know it may become mathematically impossible for Bernie Sanders to catch up. You know, at this point he still could, but I don’t see that happening. So my super delegate vote will go very much in line with the popular vote in the United States.”
