“McLaughlin Group” host John McLaughlin remarked that a report about disappearing money for schools in Afghanistan “sounded like Chicago” on Friday.

After Chicago Tribune Editorial Board Member Clarence Page cited a report from Afghanistan about empty schools and money that was intended to build schools disappearing, McLaughlin asked, “Is that in Chicago?”

Page then pointed out that this was a news story that occurred in Afghanistan, to which McLaughlin responded, “The answer sounded like Chicago.”
