Finebaum on Ole Miss Sanctions: Hugh Freeze’s Reputation Taking ‘a Major Hit ‘

ESPN’s Paul Finebaum reacted Friday on ESPN’s “SportsCenter” to Ole Miss’ release of NCAA Notice of Allegations, which includes 28 alleged violations in three sports, 13 of them involving football, nine of them during current head coach Hugh Freeze’s time at the school.

Finebaum believes the Rebels will survive the three scholarship losses each year over the next three years and that Freeze’s job is not in jeopardy, but he does think the recruiting violations are a “major hit” to Freeze’s reputation.

“I think [Freeze] will remain as the head coach, but I think his reputation has taken a major hit,” Finebaum said.
