Carlson: ‘It’s Over — The E.U. Is Over’

Friday on Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends,” “Fox & Friends Weekend” co-host and Daily Caller editor in chief Tucker Carlson declared the European Union to be over following the United Kingdom’s vote to exit the E.U.

According to Carlson, without the United Kingdom, the European Union becomes a “German-dominated alliance,” something other members would not want to be a part of.

“It’s over – the E.U. is over,” Carlson said. “Because by the way at this point without the U.K. in it, it’s a German-dominated alliance. Germany now officially runs Europe, so if you’re Spain or France, do you want to be part of that? Of course not. Look at the numbers. This is the untold story. In France for example, not a right-wing country, 61 percent of people polled say they want to leave the E.U. If it’s polling at 61, you know it’s 65 if not 70. So you’re going to see an exodus of country from this union for sure.”
