Bill Clinton: ‘Rarely,’ But More Than Once, Hillary’s Had ‘Same Sort of Thing’ As 9/11 Memorial Incident When She Was ‘Severely Dehydrated’

During an interview broadcast on Monday’s “CBS Evening News,” former President Bill Clinton commented on his wife’s incident at a 9/11 memorial on Sunday, saying that “Rarely, but on more than one occasion over the last many, many years, the same sort of thing’s happened to her where she just got severely dehydrated.”

Clinton said that Hillary is doing well and “just got dehydrated yesterday.”

When asked if she was plagued by anything more serious than dehydration, Clinton said, “She’s been–well, if it is, it is a mystery to me and all of her doctors. Rarely, but on more than one occasion over the last many, many years, the same sort of thing’s happened to her where she just got severely dehydrated. And she’s worked like a demon, as you know, as secretary of state, and as a senator, and in the years since.”

He further stated that his wife has been on a tough campaign schedule and “she had two and a half hard days before the day when she got dizzy.”

The former president concluded they would be “lucky” to keep his wife off the trail for one more day.
