Debbie Wasserman Schultz: Trump’s ‘Lying Is Part of the Family DNA’

Friday on MSNBC, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL)  said Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s “lying” was “part of the family DNA.”

Wasserman Schultz said, “Donald Trump is having this do-or-die conversion on the eve of an election. This is so transparent that he’s trying to play voters and assuming voters are the chumps he thinks his customers were—that he’s cheated over and over and over again, countless stories of customers he’s cheated. Now he thinks voters will buy though he perpetuated the birther myth that he started, that he capitalized on for years on after President Obama produced his birth certificate. He thinks voters will take him seriously and think now all is well and he’s cleansed? Not going to work. Not going to happen.”

She added, “This is similar to nothing because we have never had a more bigoted, misogynistic, outrageous candidate, where lying is part of the family DNA. That’s what’s taking place throughout the campaign. Donald Trump didn’t just disown his prior statement that President Obama wasn’t born in the United States, in saying that he agrees that he was, he doubled down by perpetuating the lie which has been disproven.”
