During Sunday’s president debate, GOP nominee Donald Trump said he was “so surprised” to see Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) “sign on with the devil,” referring to Sanders endorsement of his former opponent Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and what went on behind the scenes at the Democratic National Committee during their primary contest.
“[A]ll you have to do is take a look at Wikileaks and just see what they said about Bernie Sanders and see what Debbie Wasserman Schultz had in mind, because Bernie Sanders, between super delegates and Debbie Wasserman Schultz, he never had a chance and I was so surprised to see him sign on with the devil,” Trump stated.
